Mikros Systems Corporation was selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 1996 as the New Jersey winner of the “Tibbetts Award” in recognition of Mikros’ unique contribution as an “SBIR Model of Excellence”. The SBIR program has achieved international recognition as a special partnership between small businesses and the federal government which produces the highest quality of research, together with the highest rates of commercialization. The “Tibbetts Awards” were established to recognize the outstanding work of SBIR companies and other organizations that have contributed to the success of the SBIR program.

In 2005, Mikros Systems Corporation was recognized by Deloitte as one of the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the United States and Canada.  Otherwise known as "The Fast 500", the list is based on percentage fiscal year revenue growth over the last five years. 

Through partnerships with a variety of corporations and individuals, Mikros has the capability and expertise to move a project from the concept stage through to production and field support.
