Dermis definition, the dense inner layer of skin beneath the epidermis, composed of connective tissue, blood and lymph vessels, sweat glands, hair follicles, and an elaborate sensory nerve network.
These patches are designed so that the drug molecules diffuse through the epidermis to the blood vessels in the dermis layer. Dermis: the middle layer of skin is composed of the Papillary layer and the Reticular layer. The dermis has two parts: a thin, upper layer known as the papillary dermis, and a thick, lower layer known as the reticular dermis.
