Energy Flow Diagram
Energy Flow Diagram. For the purposes of the following analysis, energy is conserved for a fluid in an open channel flow, and head losses due to friction will be neglected. Operated by Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC, for the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security.
Part B: Following the Energy Flow Solar power drives Earth's climate.
In an ecosystem, ecologists seek to quantify the relative importance of different component species and feeding relationships.
Energy enters ecosystems as sunlight and is transformed into usable chemical energy by producers such as land plants, algae and photosynthetic bacteria. Energy Flow Diagrams (aka Energy Flow Charts) are used to visualize energy flows for a country, a region or within a company. Energy flow is the one of the most fundamental processes and it is common to all the ecosystems.
